Elbow's One Day Like This, from The Seldom Seen Kid album, is an anthem for enjoying life and finding something wonderful (even if it is just for a day).

Throw those curtains wide
One day like this a year would see me right

Dakeyras, this is for you. If you have never seen the movie. You must! I know you will just love it.

PS: The woolly mammoth part is heart wrenching.

Love that song T!

Reminded me of this song:

Thank you lass, aye aware of both posted/mentioned. The latter had quite the crush upon when a teen being honest, anyway my musical tastes can be somewhat elective but this makes me think of you and many others here in GTG and within our community as a whole I hold dear so to speak...

Well, with the mosquitoes in my home town being infected with West Nile virus, we're a little cautious around here when we see one. Case in point: As I was coming home the other night, I noticed a couple had gotten into the cab of my truck.

The only way the way I looked any more hilarious would have been if this song was playing in the background while doing battle. ;)

Listen. Can you hear it? The music. I can hear it everywhere. In the wind... in the air... in the light. It's all around us. All you have to do is open yourself up. All you have to do... is listen.

great song and fantasic lyrics

"And I'm telling this story in a faraway scene

Sipping down raki and reading Maynard Keynes
And I'm thinking about home and all that means
And a place in the winter for dignity"

These guys opened at a concert I went to recently.  While not a huge fan of the fact every 2nd word said between songs was an expletive, I really enjoyed this song.  They had a great live sound, too.
