Using Firefox,

- Save HJTInstall.exe to your desktop.
- Doubleclick on the HJTInstall.exe icon on your desktop.
- By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
- Click on Install.
- It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
- Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
- Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
- Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
- Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
- DO NOT have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Sorry. Last night my ISP went Offline....it appears to be hung on the Accept / Decline screen when I select Accept. It isn't doing anything, but the computer is not hung up either.
If I click on Decline, the computer responds back to the Kaspersly homepage.
Perhaps the problems with kaspersky, is the ActiveX, and that will require IE. That is a big no no at this time. Most of these scanners require Microsoft ActiveX Technology, thus Internet Explorer
Lets try others
Trend Micro
Make sure you save the log in text and post it.

[*]The program will be scanning huge amounts of data so depending on your system it could take a long time to complete. Let it run unhindered until it finishes.
[*]When the scan is complete Notepad will open with the report file loaded in it.
[*]Save that notepad file
