My pavillion 6000 is one week old i shut it down one day and then the next time i started it up it kept starting up and shutting down i tried to restore but couldn't i couldn't use the f11 function it wouldn't let me it kept giving me a message that said no operating system found. i called tech support when it was still running but after that call and after following the instructions from that person the screen went black and now i can't reboot. I can turn it off and on but the screen won't come up it stays black so i can't see how to resolve the issue. Can anyone help? Luke

so it went black after you talked to tech support? have you called them back?

in my experience hp will take care of it if you are under the 1 year manufacturers warranty.

it went black after the tech i talked to guided me through some steps to try to resolve it now they are sending me a recovery disc but i wonder if it will resolve the issue i will have to wait and see and yes it is only 2weeks old! So either way it should be under warranty. I was just wondering if anyone else had been through this type of issue with a brand new hp dv6000
