Nope, still looks ok...
Could you do another online scan for me to see if I missed any...
I'll see what I can do with the slowdowns later. :)

Please do an online scan with Kaspersky WebScanner

Click on Accept

You will be promted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
  • The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
  • Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
  • Now click on Scan Settings
  • In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
    • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
    Extended (if available otherwise Standard)
    • Scan Options:
    Scan Archives
    Scan Mail Bases
  • Click OK
  • Now under select a target to scan:Select My Computer
  • This will program will start and scan your system.
  • The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
  • Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
    • Now click on the Save as Text button:
  • Save the file to your desktop.
  • Copy and paste that information in your next post.

Thank you for the logs. Ok let's move on.

First, Download LSPFix.exe to a convenient location. Do NOT run this program. This is only to be used if you lose Internet Access after removing Kazaa.

Next, download KazaaBegone.zip, and unzip it to a convenient location.

Run KazaaBegone
  • Double click KazaaBegone from where you unzipped it.
  • Select Search & destroy all installed components
  • Click Go
  • Close KazaaBegone

In the event that you lose Internet access after removing Kazaa, please double-click LSPFix.exe that you downloaded earlier. Check the "I know what I'm doing" button. You will see 2 panels. If there is any file listed in the "Remove" panel on the right-side, leave it as is and just click "Finish>>" then reboot your computer and you should now have access to the Internet. If nothing is listed under the "Remove Panel", do NOT do anything - just close the program. You will need to use another computer to come back here for further instructions on what to do.

After reboot, please download the OTMoveIt2 by OldTimer.
  • Save it to your desktop.
  • Please double-click OTMoveIt2.exe to run it. (Vista users, please right click on OTMoveit2.exe and select "Run as an Administrator")
  • Copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose Copy):

    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\Program Installers\emoticons.exe
    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\sebas\calculator.htm
    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\sebas\MAXwilly - [bleep] Enlargement Product,Technique,Device.htm
    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\sebas\Untitled-1.htm
    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\sebas\Untitled-2.htm
    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\sebas\___ PeneExtender _________________________________________.htm
    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\stretcher graphics\SizeUp Extender System.htm
    C:\Program Files\WinRAR	\Patch [ WinRAR 3.70 Beta 7 ].exe

  • Return to OTMoveIt2, right click in the "Paste List of Files/Folders to Move" window (under the light Yellow bar) and choose Paste.
  • Click the red Moveit! button.
  • A log of files and folders moved will be created in the c:\_OTMoveIt\MovedFiles folder in the form of Date and Time (mmddyyyy_hhmmss.log). Please open this log in Notepad and post its contents in your next reply.
  • Close OTMoveIt2
If a file or folder cannot be moved immediately you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes.

The computer looks better but still a little slower than usual...The logs still show some malwares...
I dunno if I should install the free Anti virus that you recommended to me or if I should buy the best paid version available so I can have real time protection...which one is the best AV program out there...?You said the running two or more AV at the same time is not good and you told me that no AV program has covered all viruses...So I'm on a big dilemma here...

Ok looks good...

Next,

Please download DAFT and save it to your desktop:
  • Double-click the daft.exe icon.
  • Click on the Scan button.
  • Select everything it is displaying there
  • Click the Fix button.
  • Then rescan with DAFT again - it should say now that "All associations are OK"
  • Close DAFT if you receive that message. This means that it is fixed now.

Then,

  • Make sure you have an Internet Connection.
  • Double-click OTMoveIt2.exe to run it. (Vista users, please right click on OTMoveit2.exe and select "Run as an Administrator")
  • Click on the CleanUp! button
  • A list of tool components used in the Cleanup of malware will be downloaded.
  • If your Firewall or Real Time protection attempts to block OtMoveit2 to reach the Internet, please allow the application to do so.
  • Click Yes to begin the Cleanup process and remove these components, including this application.
  • You will be asked to reboot the machine to finish the Cleanup process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes.

Finally,

To reset your restore points, please note that you will need to log into your computer with an account which has full administrator access. You will know if the account has administrator access because you will be able to see the System Restore tab. If the tab is missing, you are logged in under a limited account.

(Windows XP)
1. Turn off System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

2. Reboot.

3. Turn ON System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.

Don't you have a regular account with admin privileges?

Let's submit the file for analysis....

Jotti File Submission:
  • Please go to Jotti's malware scan
  • Copy and paste the following file path into the "File to upload & scan"box on the top of the page:

    • %userprofile%\desktop\carbonicos.zip
      %userprofile%\desktop\carbonicos(2).zip
  • Click on the submit button
  • Please post the results in your next reply.

when I boot up I see adminstrator before the desktop appears..Also when I log off and switch user I only see the option for administrator...when I tried to copy your command above(%userprofile%\desktop\carbonicos.zip)for the Jotti's it says user unknown so I just upload the file from my desktop but all 3 files came out as "found nothing"
carbonicos.zip
carbonicos(2).zip
carbonicos(3).zip
I dunno why they keep coming back after I deleted

As far as I can tell you only have one account. Could you boot up using Administrator then try submitting the file for analysis again....

Jotti File Submission:
  • Please go to Jotti's malware scan
  • Copy and paste the following file path into the "File to upload & scan"box on the top of the page:

    • %userprofile%\desktop\carbonicos.zip
      %userprofile%\desktop\carbonicos(2).zip
      %userprofile%\desktop\carbonicos(3).zip
  • Click on the submit button
  • Please post the results in your next reply.

Afterwards,

click on Start, click on Run
copy and paste the following in bold in the open window and then click OK
"%userprofile%\desktop\dss.exe" /config
This will open up DSS configuration
click on Check All
click Scan
DSS will now run again when finished
Please post back both logs that open in notepad
Main txt and extra txt

Logs required on next post.

-Jotti log
-DSS main and extra

Where again is carbonicos.zip located?

Next,

Please install an Anti-virus software. Choose ONE from these 3 good antivirus programs.

Important note: Geeks to Go highly recommends uninstalling any other antivirus software BEFORE installing another antivirus application. Installing more than one antivirus program causes conflicts and system slowdowns, crashes, proving less protection not more.

Then,

Please update your system
It is critical to have Anti-virus and Windows updated to ensure your system protected.

Once done, please post back with a new Hijackthis log.
