I've been on and off the phone with dell technical support for over two months now trying to get my computer fixed. One day my roomate tried to install wireless internet on my comp and the next it wouldn't work. About three moths ago (a month before this happened) the stupid system crashed and I did system restore and it worked. Now all I get is a black screen with a cursor. I can't alt+ctrl+delete, I can't do anything. Every test has been run and nothing can be detected. I cannot access my computer from safemode. I cannot even get to the login screen. I've tried system restore and booting the system from the disk and nothing seems to be working. I don't care about saving my computer, but is there any way to save my data? I usually back up my data, being a writer, but someone broke into my apartment and stole it. I really really really need this data and the technical support is telling me I will lose everything, including software and etc the only way they have left to try. Please please please help me! Thaaanks!

Hey! Sorry to hear about your problem- that's a bummer! I would suggest trying some data recovery software to save your data! I've used Selkie Rescue in the past, and it worked great! It will work even when Windows won't boot, and you'll be able to transfer your data to another machine.. It's also very easy to use. Hope that helps! Good luck! :)
