I want to know if it is possible to add another statistic along the side when you post something..

at the moment i have...
Group: Admin
Posts: 55
Member No.: 1

And i would like to add something under posts:55

so it becomes something like...
Group: Admin
Posts: 55
SMASH points: (number)
Member No.: 1

Id like it so i can edit it for each person as they obtain these points

is it possible to do something like this??

Hi Patticus,

I know how to create a extra field. Just don't know how to get any information written to it other then by hand.

Login to the ACP < Management tab > under Users & Groups click Custom Profile Fields
Click the Add New Field button and fill out the required characteristics.
Click the Add Field button when you are done.

Under "Users and Groups" i dont have the option "Custom profile fields"

all i have is..
Users and Groups
· Pre-Register
· Find/Edit/Suspend User
· Delete User(s)
· Ban Settings
· User Title/Ranks
· Manage User Groups
· Bulk Email Members
· List Suspended Users
· Manage Validating

can you explain what I need to do?

As I don't expect to be able to answer your questions, I would recommend you try and search or ask here:

Seems there is only support for commercial users, you'll have to find another site dedicated to Invision Power Board.

Maybe you can find it here:
http://mods.invision...index.php/c/197

I also found this mod for version 2.1.0
http://mods.invision...ndex.php/f/5606

Not sure if it works for later versions.
The forum I linked to before has this information at the bottom
Powered By IP.Board 2.3.5 © 2008 IPS, Inc.
Licensed to: Invision Power Services, Inc

I would assume they are running the latest stable release.

It may be better to wait for someone with experience.
That are quite a few versions you will have to skip.
I would not want you to ruin your forums and I'm not sure if that can be done in one go.

On normal updates you would receive a list of files to replace, but I'm not sure if that is wise when you "fastforward"like that.

You will have to register with the invisionize forums to download the mod package.
Use the download button at the bottom to do so.

But are you sure you will be able to do the necessary programming to change the mod to what you want?
Excuse me for doubting your abilities to perform such a task, but you don't strike me as someone who is very knowledgeable in this area.

Na i honestly dont really know what im doing, Is there any program from that site you gave me that you could reccomend to me that i could install so that i could do what i wish to do.

Basically all i want to be able to do is below posts on a persons profile bit when they post is put..
SMASH points: (number)

so that i can constantly change the number and such.

Is there anyway to do that? or is that to complex?

I found this..
http://mods.invision...ndex.php/f/1406
is that any help to me?
I downloaded it though i dont no how to install it or put it in?

What I would recommend is setting up a test forum using the latest version of the forum software and experiment with that.

Then you can figure out if it is able to do all you want and try to apply the mods.
You will learn to handle the software, refresh your knowledge of installing and give you a safe environment to do some tests.
