Conversion...PITA..HELP?

ok so i got the downloadhelper for Firefox and it works.. but MY converter does not support .FLV so i installed the Downloadhelper converter. that is supposed to convert stuff to other formats....which it will but not a usable format on Quicktime or WMP..

and i`ve tried ALL the presets...so uh what codecs do i use for an .AVI

Video and sound codecs..i have DivX, when i try to play the converted videos it comes up with

"invalid file format"
"invalid codecs"
"unsupported"

But when its loading it says Codecs found and some Formats will play...but only with sound...
