The way I understood it when I was I reading the official rules was each person gets the same category, but the questions are drawn from a pool of like questions, and distributed to the players slightly different each time. Thus preventing you from signing in under a different name a getting the same questions for a perfect score.

Thus preventing you from signing in under a different name a getting the same questions for a perfect score.

There should be an option to choose to make everybody's questions slightly different.
