Missed one thing!

Lets Reset and Re-enable your System Restore to remove any infected files that have been backed up by Windows. The files in System Restore are protected to prevent any programs from changing those files. This is the only way to clean these files: (You will lose all previous restore points which are likely to be infected, but that's good news).

Turn OFF System Restore.
  • On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
  • Click Properties.
  • Click the System Restore tab.
  • Check Turn off System Restore.
  • Click Apply, and then click OK.
Restart your computer.

Turn ON System Restore.
  • On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
  • Click Properties.
  • Click the System Restore tab.
  • UN-Check Turn off System Restore.
  • Click Apply, and then click OK.

System Restore will now be active again.

Tried that trillian didnt like it. dont use messenger much so dont think itll be a problem

It installs a lot of junk with it and i cant uninstal the ASK toolbar any ideas :)

The uninstallers should be available in your control panel under add remove programs. Are they not there?

Re-open HiJackThis and scan. Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below.

Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked. Close HiJackThis. Reboot the computer into Safe Mode.

Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

Using Windows Explorer (to get there right-click your Start button and go to "Explore"), please delete these folders (if present):

C:\Program Files\Ask.com
C:\Program Files\The Weather Channel FW
C:\Program Files\Trillian

After that, Reboot.

Trillian is definitely coming of my recommendations list!

nice at hot in pattaya i bet. iv'e visited that area a crazy place :)

got a couple of folders can i delete them ones a combifix one and one called binaries ?

Delete the Combofix folder. What is in the Binaries folder?

I live about 15k outside of Pattaya, far enough away to avoid all the craziness, but close enough in for the amenities, and schools.

Those come from Microsoft's SOAP Toolkit 3.0. You can delete it if you want.
