I did that, I only have 1 stick of RAM, and it did nothing.

It's not gonna fix anything. It'll just check, if your RAM is OK.
You need to get 4-5 passes.
The best option - leave it overnight.

Im not understanding what you mean here. And not the cleanest, Im going to clean it out tommorrow. The thing is downloading Windows XP on my computer.

I used the link you gave me, followed those directions. I burned what they said to burn on a disk and put it in my computer, the it started downloading Windows XP and my computer is running now. I dont know if its fixed or not.

You downloaded memtest86+-1.70.iso.zip, unzipped it, burned .iso file to the CD, and you booted from it, right?

You should be seeing screen like this:

You asked me what I was doing so I told you and the picture just shows up as a red X. But now I need to install a modem on my computer so it has internet, how do I do that?

Yes it booted all the way up and its up and running right now, Im just trying to figure out how to get the internet working.
