Somthing else to be aware of is that you can't login to a Linksys router if you have Proxy server enabled in Explorer (or whatever web browser you're using).

Go to Tools -->Internet Options -->Connections -->LAN Settings

Uncheck the Proxy server box if checked.

After you're finishing accessing the router, go back and renable your Proxy server setting

I have almost the same problem..!!
I have the default IP address http://192.168.1.1, but I don't have the username and or password.. Is it something else I can do since I have another IP adress, or is I doomed??
I'm really a noob on computers, but I've really tried!

Although your issue may seem similar there can be other factors that may need to be resolved.
By bumping on someone's topic it makes it confusing for the tech to understand who they are helping. This can in turn cause the wrong support to be given and can cause instability or worse to happen to your system. Thank you for your cooperation.

You have to make sure you're using Internet explorer. This was the only way I could get my setup to work. I have the exact same product as you
