I have an Asus Fn8 notebook, ATI HD3650 with 1gig of video ram, Intel duel core 2.4ghz, with 4 gigs of ram(I have 32 bit so it only reads 3). Not bad huh. Guess again, I have windows vista. I have striped it down by getting rid of aero and some other memory hogs but I still can't seem to play certain games even on medium settings. Mass effect runs well, and so does COD modern warfare. but some of the other games like Fallout 3, or Bioshock run choppy. What I don't understand is that I far exceed the recommended hardware for these games so why don't they run even decently? Should I continue to disable more vista processes? Or am I SOL? Oh yeah and I have updated my GFX drivers.
