I have a good friend in FL named John Dick. He just recently retired from the Air Force. We've always told him he should have gone to the Army, instead. This way, he could have been:
Major Dick
Captain Dick
etc and so forth. The Army has much better titles to go with his name.

...those commissioned officer titles are the same in the Air Force and the Army (one should remember that the Air Force was part of the Army until 1947)...he'd have had the same names in the AF, too...Well, since the site owner went there, so can I!

Wow, he has my birth date. Hehe.I had an uncle who swore years ago that he read about a man in his local newspaper named "10-6". He said the man told the reporter that his mother told him later in life she was really sorry for that but he was the youngest of 9 kids and that by the time he came along she was just too worn out to even try to come up with a name, so she named him for his birthdate: October 6th!
