Hi all, I am looking for a few options / opinions. I have an Alienware m15x I would like to run a full backup or clone my drive and install the Windows 7 RC. I currently have about 110mb of used hard drive space. I read a couple recommendations on another post for recommended backup software. In the case that Windows 7 is a disaster I want to get back what I have on vista (32). Would I be better off with a full backup or a clone? I am thinking maybe a clone in order to save the Alienware recovery software that is installed somewhere, i don't see another partition like most pc places use so I dont know where they have put all that information.

I can't run either one right now because the biggest storage I have is 4gb, I have a 200gb pocket drive on the way but it is still not here (getting very impatient).

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you

Yeah, you need an extra drive, and then....

Acronis True Image: http://www.acronis.com/ - not free, but the best

Free alternatives:
- DriveImage XML: http://www.runtime.o...veimage-xml.htm
- SelfImage: http://www.excelcia....N...icle&sid=21
- Macrium Reflect: http://www.macrium.com/ReflectFree.asp

I kind of figured Acronis True Image would probably be my best option. I just wanted verification and maybe some other ideas.

Thank You
