OK, I don't see any malware signs here, so let's have a look at these logs also:

Right click on http://www.silentrun...ent Runners.vbs and choose Save As...Save it to your Desktop. Make sure you have disabled any programs that may block/disable scripts (ex: Ad-Watch, TeaTimer, Norton, etc.). Double click on 'Silent Runners' to run it. This will take a few minutes. It will create a file called 'Startup Programs' followed by your computer name and current date. Open up that file and post all the contents here in your next post.

Download DllCompare http://www.greyknigh.../DllCompare.exe and run it. Click on the 'Locate.com' button. Wait a few seconds and then click on the 'Compare' button. Let it run, then click on 'Make a log of what was found'. Post that log here. Note: If you are having problems using DllCompare (16 bit error), copy autoexec.nt from the C:\WINDOWS\repair folder to C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder. Now try running DllCompare.

OK, I see something here.

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should not have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Go to Start->Run and type in regedit and hit OK. Go to File->Export and save the registry somewhere as a backup. While in the Registry Editor, navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and delete amzvpxgsby

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\ and delete DataBasePath

If any of the above registry keys are giving you problems deleting, right click on them and click on Permissions. Then click on the Advanced button. Make sure the first box (Inherit from parent...) is checked. Click OK and OK. Then try deleting the entry again. Once you're done, close the Registry Editor.

Download KillBox http://www.greyknigh...spy/KillBox.exe. Run KillBox and check the box that says 'End Explorer Shell While Killing File'. Next click on 'Delete on Reboot'. For each of the following files below, check the box that says 'Unregister .dll Before Deleting' if it's not grayed out. Copy and paste each of the following into KillBox (hitting the X button for each file - choose NO when it asks if you want to reboot):

c:\windows\system32\amzvpxgsby.exe
C:\WINDOWS\nsdb\
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\mscloc~1.dll
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\msploc~1.dll

The Temp folders should be cleaned out periodically as installation programs and hijack programs leave a lot of junk there. Download CleanUp! http://cleanup.stevengould.org/ (Alternate Link if main link don't work - http://www.greyknigh...spy/Cleanup.exe ) and install it. Run CleanUp! and click on CleanUp! button. When it asks you if you want to logoff, click on Yes.

Restart and post a new HijackThis, Silent Runners and DllCompare log.

OK, this one is becoming a pain now. Can you find these two files?

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\mscloc~1.dll
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\msploc~1.dll

If not, go to Start->Run and type in notepad and hit OK. Then copy and paste the below into Notepad:

attrib -s -r -h C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\msploc~1.dll
attrib -s -r -h C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\mscloc~1.dll
ren C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\mscloc~1.dll C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\mscloc~1.old
ren C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\msploc~1.dll C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\msploc~1.old
del C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\msploc~1.old
del C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\mscloc~1.old
exit

Save the file as "delFiles.bat" (with the quotes). Save it to your C: drive now.

Now hit ctrl+alt+del and go to the Processes tab. Look for explorer.exe and click on it. Click on the End Process button. Your desktop icons and start menu will disappear. That's ok. Now in the Task Manager, go to File->New Task and type in c:\delFiles.bat and hit OK. You should see the command prompt (black background window) pop up and disappear. After that's done, go to File->New Task and type in explorer and hit ok. You should get your desktop icons and start menu back. Close task manager.

OK, we'll try using the regedt32 editor instead of regedit.

Go to Start->Run and type in regedt32 and hit OK. Go to File->Export and save the registry somewhere as a backup. While in the Registry Editor, navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and delete amzvpxgsby

If any of the above registry keys are giving you problems deleting, right click on them and click on Permissions. Then click on the Advanced button. Make sure the first box (Inherit from parent...) is checked. Click OK and OK. Then try deleting the entry again. Once you're done, close the Registry Editor.

Were you able to delete (or find) this file? -> c:\windows\system32\amzvpxgsby.exe

Delete it if you can find it.

Check and fix these in HijackThis:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://websearch.drs...esearch.cgi?id=
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://websearch.drs...esearch.cgi?id=

Restart and post a new HijackThis, Silent Runners and DllCompare log.

Could you find this file? -> C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\mscloc~1.dll

So this file can't be found nor can the registry entry be located? -> amzvpxgsby

Right click on this link http://www.greyknigh...spy/RegSrch.vbs and choose 'Save As'. Save it somewhere. Now run that program and do a search for these files:

amzvpxgsby

Save the file/files and post the results in the forum.

The mscloc~1.dll couldnt be found. I even ran the regSrch for it and it couldnt find any instances of it either.

Here are the search results for amzvpxgsby:

Is amzvpxgsby listed in your Add/Remove panel by any chance?

Go to Start->Run and type in regedit and hit OK. Go to File->Export and save the registry somewhere as a backup. Close the Registry Editor now. Go to Start->Run and type in notepad and hit OK. Then copy and paste the following into Notepad:

REGEDIT4
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupreg\amzvpxgsby]

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Management\ARPCache\amzvpxgsby]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"amzvpxgsby"= -

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\amzvpxgsby]

[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\MUICache]
"C:\\windows\\system32\\amzvpxgsby.exe"= -

[HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-3445059235-2326974442-1771888417-1005\Software\Microsoft\Search Assistant\ACMru\5603]
"000"= -

[HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-18\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\MUICache]
"C:\\windows\\system32\\amzvpxgsby.exe"= -

Save the file as "delete.reg". Make sure to save it with the quotes. Double click on it and choose Yes to merge it. You may delete the file afterwards.

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\mscloc~1.dll

Post a new Silent Runners and DllCompare log.

OK, go to this site. I want you to upload these (separately) to that site:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\mscloc~1.dll
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\msploc~1.dll
c:\windows\system32\amzvpxgsby.exe

Submit them one at a time. Post the 3 analysis reports here.
