Greetings,

I recently got a virus (now removed) that caused my laptop and modem to not send and receive data from one another. I called my service provider which is comcast and found out my laptop is not letting me renew my ip address. I have tried to release it also. I also tried to diagnose and repair the connect to no success. Rocach feom the virus side sent me overe here for help.

Also my soundcard will not launch and has a ! In the device manager screen. It does have up to date software.


Issue is resolved.

Well it was resolved yesterday. Now I am back to no internet and no sound. I installed Vista service pack 2 this morning and thats when the problems returned.

I am still having these issues. It is on and off again problem. Please any help. I have searched for many hours online and can't find a solution.
