here is an update on what is going on with the computer today it would not even turn on i thought that it might be a loose conection so took the battery out took the cover of cleaned out the fan (don't know whether that helped or not) but put it all back together and it seemed to work it came on and booted up the screen would go black but the computer lights showing that it is on was lit it has done this several times so that is where i am now i had to go buy a laptop just to get on here so i can fix that one can anyone help ?? i was really surprised that no one answered the original post

on thne fan i wiped all the dirt etc... off the fan and that area

when the computer would shut it self off there was no boot screen at all it would light up for about 10 seconds that shut off till i opened it up and looked i truly don't know what i did but it seems to be okay so far it has blacked out the screen once like the below

the screen was completly black no response when i hit the space bar i thought at first it was the screen saver but that wasn't it
after putting it back together the lower part of the screen where the task bar is was all that was showing the rest of the screen went black lasted about 10 seconds the came back to the normal screen i am truly stumped

sounds to me like the dll error is a key part of whats wrong. Since you tried a repair on it but had no success, I suggest using this tutorial at
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html

I hope this helps you.

You don't do this.
You use a can of compressed air.
That's the only safe way.
