Annoying folder appearance in windows

This is my problem. Happens in all of the folders on C:. The other partition is unaffected. It started just 2 days ago now, and been trying to solve it by system restore and resetting settings to default with Tuneup Utilities and similar. Nothing seems to work!

I'd appreciate if you took your time to help me out with this problem, thank you!

Apologize for double posting, or early bumping. It just really annoying.
I've installed the up-to-date graphic drivers. Without luck!

Sure I will format this computer and install Windows 7 one day(which would fix it), but not right away.
