bought a dell xps8000. comes with a 350w power supply. Is it enough? or should i upgrade it to a 500w or 750w?

Dell will always use the minimum spec'd ps they can get away with. If your machine is running fine, then I would leave it alone for now. If you feel you want to upgrade the ps, then either 500w or 750w will do as it certainly surpasses what you have now.
