ok i have looked online for this however the only answer i have found is not one that will help me..
heres the thing.
the other day i ... BY complete mistake >.<
download a nasty virus called win32/heur. and i have been trying to get ride of it for 2 days now.. so i am thinking instead of going that route i could format everything and just reinstall vista..
heres the issue the computer that got the flu was a open box item laptop and she doesnt have the vista cd
she still has the product key on the bottom of the laptop
i have a dell laptop and have the vista cd. i just updated to windows 7 the day it came out
.
can i use my vista install cd.. on her laptop and use her product key to activate vista?

Why go through all that when the GTG Malware staff can help rid your system of the infection?
I suggest you go to the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post the reguested logs in THAT forum. If you are unable to run any of the tools then start a new topic in the malware forum and put this in the subject line...I am unable to run any malware tools

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
