I can't install any programs or install a windows update whatsoever. I am running vista x64 and my wife's computer is having the same problem. Hers is a windows xp system.

When I try to download an update, I get the error code 80200010

Any thoughts?

Are you running Norton Internet Security by any chance?. If so try turning it off for 15 mins or so.

Automated Windows Update Fix

1. Download WUFix.exe to your desktop.
2. Double-Click WUFix.exe to run fix.
3. You will see a window open and commands processing. When the window closes the fix will have completed.
4. Restart the computer.

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post an OTListIt log in THAT forum.
