I have been battling this cpu for a while finaly got time to post
I did a search and really did not find much that was similar.
The cpu is a HP Pavilion Media Center m8000.n tv pc operating system is vista 64
I will be working on it and most of the time it is while on the internet it will just go dark and the cpu will shut down and not restart. I have to push the on switch. It will start and the screen that gives you start normal or safe mode comes up.
I did a full format and reloaded vista 64 on the computer and put norton 360 4.0 on it.
I took it apart blew it out with compressed air and ensured all connections were in place and not loose.
It does not matter where it is pluged in it still does it.
I did the computer properties advanced setting uncheck box with restart auto in case of error.
I swapped power supply whith another cpu it still dies.
I pulled ram put 2 new ones in still shut down put old ones back in now have 6.gb ram.
it seems to happen when on line downloading or watching a movie clip like streetfire.net for example.
Where should I go from here? I appreciate any help you could give me, thank you.

PC no error codes or warnings just click.
