Hi. I just reformatted my hdd and installed xp. I think while using a usb from a friend
a virus or something got in and now i cant access any microsoft site, update from antivirus or anything.
I've seen you help a lot of people but the cases are very individualized. Please help

In IE, Tools, Internet Options, Connections, LAN Settings, then uncheck all boxes and OK. Close IE and restart IE.

In FireFox, Tools, Options, Advanced, Settings, check No Proxy then OK. Close Firefox and restart Firefox.
