Need help with portable DVD player!

Im buying a new portable DVD player and I was wondering if I can watch free movies on it? It says it has a slot for SD, MMC and Memory Stick media. What mm cards are those? I have a camera one and 2 psp ones... would they work? Second of all I wanted to put movies on the memory stick or cards and play them from the DVD player. It says it can play DVD; DVD±R/RW; CD; MP3; JPEG... so what type of movie would I be able to play from the memory card? Thanks
