see if this removes it

  • Download OTC to your desktop and run it
  • Click Yes to beginning the Cleanup process and remove these components, including this application.
  • You will be asked to reboot the machine to finish the Cleanup process. Choose Yes.

Wow, that seems to have done it. The !KillBox folder is gone, and the file is not in the downloads folder where it originally was (it never came up on a system search so I don't know if it got copied to another location before this). I can't seem to find it anywhere. What was that program? Whatever it was, it seems to have done the trick. Thank you very much! I can't tell you how glad I am to be rid of that thing.
