I was installing Windows Xp onto a Dell Inspiron 7000 that had Windows ME all of a sudden it restarted and when it turned back on i got a black screen with the words General Protection Fault. I was thinking about a system restore but my roomate doesn't have his disk for that is there anywhere i can download the System restore or does anyone have any other suggestions

Start here
upgrade to xp trouble
But you might have to look at the dell sight
Dell computers normally have their own version of software and I think this might be the problem
