Well, one year after roll out, I'm still trying to install Vista SP2 on honey's computer.

I can't get past the initialization of the install.

I've tried the fix here: http://support.micro....com/kb/948465. Several times.

And here: http://technet.micro.../dd767387.aspx. Several times.

I can't even get the "readiness tool" to work.

Any help would be appreciated. The computer is an HP laptop running a 32 bit system.

Many thanks.

Freaking frustrated!

Yup. SP 1 in place. SP2 could not install.

Problem has been resolved with help from MS Support.

Long and short, a file missing, CBS MUM. Uninstalled ZA, replaced missing file, SP2 went in fine.

Thanks folks!
