Okay, it's time to pull out the big guns. Click Here to download TheKillbox. Extract TheKillBox.exe from the zip file and double click it to open it up. In the 'Enter Full Path and Filename to Delete' box, copy and paste these entries one by one, clicking 'Find and Kill This File' after each one:
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\M9ONU5E9\video[1].exe

After, that open up HJT rescan, and fix these entries:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [video[1]] C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\M9ONU5E9\video[1].exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [video[1]] C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\M9ONU5E9\video[1].exe

Restart, rescan, then post a new log. <_<

I did the kill box and it said this file does not seem to exist. I did uncheck the box that said to save a backup. I will run another hijack this scan. You are very patient.

I did what you asked, but it doesn't appear that it killed those video files that the kill box said didn't exist.

Thanks.

Thanks for your help. The only thing that seems to be acting funny is when I boot up the computer it goes to that http://c:/Program page. The address for it when I right-click on properties is: res//C:WINDOWS\System32/shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm#http://C:Program

I ran adaware and it was clean; Spybot S&D and got the IE Plugin and it was C:Windows\winserv.exe

When I jumped to the location: it's an rslocal MFC Application. Spybot could not clean it up as usual and The Cleaner popped up as an alert

I ran Norton again this morning and it picked up some files...winserv...silent.exe...and infamous.exe. I did searches for them and I'm deleting them. I will play with it some more and then do another HJ log.

sometimes your not able to delete these cause there still running or are running off of something, try rebooting your computer and have that be the first thing you do, or boot up in safe-mode

Did that and was able to delete the file...this time it was a prefetch file. Running disc cleanup and will run spybot, norton, adware and The Cleaner again before reporting back. Sorry about all this.

Please delete your temporary files. Double Click My Computer (WinXP: Navigate to Start --->My Computer)
You will see an icon representing your harddrive (most likely C: Drive) Right Click on the hard drive icon and click Properties at the
bottom of the fly out window. One the very first tab (General) you will see a button labeled "Disk Cleanup"...click that button.
Make sure the following are checked:
Downloaded Program Files
Temporary Internet Files and
Recycle Bin

Click OK and Disk Cleanup will delete those files for you.

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log in this same topic. <_<

Let's see where we're at.

Everything is clean, except Norton showed winwildapp.exe as a security risk and I couldn't delete it.
Also, the TC Monitor from The Cleaner shows changes to HKLM\software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
And each time the computer reboots it goes to that http://c:/Program page.

Thanks again.
