I'm having issues connecting my XBOX 360 to my home computer in order to use Windows Media Center. I've gone through the process described on www.xbox.com/pcsetup and I've also done quite a bit of trouble shooting online and haven't been able to fix my issue. I'll lay out the set up below:

XBOX 360 is connected via CAT5 cable to a Linksys WRT54G ver. 6

Home Computer is connected wirelessly to the Linksys using a Netgear WG311v3 54Mbps Wireless PCI Adapter

I previously was able to connect both of these devices, but I had my computer hooked up to the Linksys directly and the XBOX was connecting wirelessly. Thanks for any help you can provide.

What forced you to switch from a wired to a wireless connection for your PC, and vice-versa for the xbox if it was working okay with the original setup?

I moved recently. I tried to duplicate my original set up, but my new house is two story so the XBOX wireless adapter is basically useless. The router was downstairs hooked up directly to the computer.

Last night I was able to see the XBOX on my network map, but I'm still not able to get the media center extender to work.
