Could you remove and then re-insert the USB and then see if it is detected - as you have a second hard drive it may not appear as sdb1 but as sdb2

Enum.log is empty. I am going to bed now, but I hope you can find a solution for me.
I really do not want to wipe the disk, and re-install windows XP, if there is a way
to get my XP up functioning again.

If the enum log is empty that means you have no restore points for me to play with..

The next option is a repair install - do you have an XP disc handy ? This will retain all your documents and data so there should be no fears on that point

I must have been very tired last night. xPUD had some trouble with my usb disk.
So I tried to copy rst.sh to my extra disk, and tried to run from there. It made a enum.log with a lot of restore points. So what is the next step ?

Let's see if there is an available registry backup we can use to help get your computer booting properly
  • Boot the Sick computer with the USB drive again
  • Press File
  • Expand mnt
  • Expand your USB (sdb1)
  • Press Tool at the top
  • Choose Open Terminal
  • Type bash rst.sh -r
  • Type RP24
  • Press Enter
  • After it has finished a report will be located at sdb1 named restore.log
  • Please try to boot into normal Windows now and indicate if you were successful

Please note - all text entries are case sensitive

Copy and paste the restore.log from your USB drive for my review
