Hi Guys! I have a problem and it is getting quiet serious. My sister put an infected USB Flash in the computer and all [bleep] broke lose. It stopped the antivirus (Avira) and the malware (Malwarebytes antimalware).
First I formatted my system drive C: and reinstalled Windows. Then i scanned with Malware bytes and the system was fine for a while but after sometime whenever I open a drive one of the above mentioned programs start running, and the antivirus stops. I can open almost every other program on my computer but the Antivirus does not run. If i end any of these processes through Taskmanager then it stops temporarily. But then on opening the drive it starts all over again. I have tried deleting them from Temp folder, but same result, they get back . Also system cannot be restarted through F8 or boot.ini method. No such processes show under Services or Startup either(msconfig.exe). And also I have not installed any latest program that might have been infected. I am running all the programs that I was running about a month ago and everything was fine. Please help if you can.

Hello Abdullah Ali and welcome to GeeksToGo. ;)

I am jwang01 and I will be assisting you with your issue.

When we get to working on your computer you may want to print out or save my respones in notepad because there may be times were you will not be able to access them here.

Also, please don't attach your logs unless asked, as they can make them hard to read. Just post them as a reply

Just to confirm, are you saying you computer is becoming reinfected when opening the USB drive?

Please go to the Malware and Spyware Cleaning Guide and follow the steps there and post those logs back here. Then we can get started. :D
