So is the issue it won't accept the key or it won't activate?

I can input the key but it says it is incorrect, for both. I spoke with hp she said its something technical because the key is valid

Is it possible on the key on the system you are misreading a 1 for a L in lower case or a 0 zero for the letter O?

No. I have checked the key and retried several times. I will be contacting hp to find out what the problem is.
