I have had this hp desktop for almost 2 years and it's ran great until last week. First it froze up, I restarted and it tells me I have a drive failure. A few hours later my wife starts it up and it runs fine for 10 min but then freezes again. Upon reboot it won't see the hard drive at all. I expected it to be a hd failure, so I got a new drive and tried to install windows on it but it kept telling me I need drivers for the cd/DVD drive to install. On one occasion it said no files are present on instalation disk. I tried to install a sata card but that gave me a blue screen telling me to remove new hardware. Chkdisk won't finish, nor will any other repair. Any clues to what can be wrong?
Thanks
