Preventing contamination of the mbr? Well you would probably want to know how it gets that way? Many factors to consider. Shutting a computer off cold with the on off button and not through the windows shutdown method can make for hard drive file contamination. Viruses can cause contamination. If your hard drive is going bad it can cause disruptions like this also.
