trend Micro shortcut not working

Hello...today I clicked on my Trend Micro Titanium maximum security shortcut icon...nothing happened and I can't get any of the Trend Micro icons to work. Can't open it at all. I have no idea if it's working or not. it's still showing in the control panel and programs. I tried to uninstall and reinstall but that didn't work either.
I would be very grateful for any advice. I am 80 years old so amd not terribly compter savvy.
I forgot to mention that an XP Antispyware 2012 keeps popping up non stop and I think my Trend Micro problem may have started then ...not sure.
