I have a desktop Dell Inspiron 531 with Windows Vista. Also, I have a Dell laptop which tied to the Trendnet Wireless Router with cable connection attached.
I am trying to sign into internet desktop which the cable connection comes from Trendnet Wireless Router. When I checked the network connection on the desktop now, I am getting the following message:
"A problem with your network router or broadband modem might be preventing an internet connection"
I do have a Reinstallation DVD Windows Vista - Home Premium 32BIT.
Thank you.

So it is your internet connection that has limited connectivity, have you looked for solutions on the Network forum http://www.geekstogo.../11-networking/
Have you looked in the Device Manager to see if there is a yellow ! or red X next to the network adapter, let us know what you find.
