If you have just purchased it then I would return it to the store you bought it from for either warranty repair or replacement.
Since it has not worked from day 1 as you put it then I would say the store has a obligation to repair it or replace the item for you.

Are you still having problems with your issue?
It has been 29 days since your last response and I was wondering if the issue has been resolved?
If so can you explain how it was resolved so others may be able to fix it if they have the same issue.
