You do not use PCPitstop to do the Fixes it only tells you how to do the fix and you do it manually through Windows.

It was still installed as of µTorrent (2.0.0) 1/18/12 are you saying it has been uninstalled since!

I also notice that you have multiple AV software installed, this is not safe - it is actually the opposite as your PC can become unstable, uninstall all but one AV a.s.a.p, see the tutorial provided courtesy of Admin @ http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/topic/38-free-antivirus-and-antispyware-software/

They all have a red X against them...!!!

And each step seems to be very time consuming...!! I have lots of work to do this weekend...

Can you tell me what is critical (needs to be done now) and what can wait??

AV: Are you taking about Avast, McAfee and ESET? Is it OK to keep only Avast as it is free? Is it any good?

Do numbers 2,3,4 and 5 a.s.a.p but defrag your HDD overnight as that will take a long time.

Just keep Avast (free) unless you have paid for any other AV program, use that until it expires then uninstall it and install Avast, also make sure you have a firewall enabled.

Just read the post you sent me. I will be uninstalling every AV program, including Avast, and replacing with the Microsoft AV.

I will try to do your suggested items tonight and defrag overnight. Will update you on this tomorrow.

Absolutely no idea as this was not one of the AV programs you have/had installed.
Have you downloaded anything in the past couple of days?

Please go to the software tab and see how many programs are listed as being installed on 1/18/12 including this entry µTorrent (2.0.0) 1/18/12 this may have been caused by a conflict between the multiple AV programs you have installed or malware.
Where are you up to with clearing out the needless AV programs?

utorrent was removed on January 14th. No programs were modified on the 18th.

All AVs were removed prior to installing MSE.
