My computer will recognize available internet connections but will not connect. There is another computer in the house and that one can connect to the internet but mine detects problems in the network. Help?

Hello KaylaJean,

I'll do the best I can to assist you, but you need to answer all the questions first as best you can.

detects problems in the network

Does that error above provide any more information as to what the problem might be, like modem or network cable is disconnected?

Tell us the make and model of the computer?

When was the last time this computer connected to the Internet? When you try to connect to for instance www.google.com what error do you get?

Please verify your operating system, Win7, Vista or XP.

Tell us how you are trying to connect, with a router using a wireless network, or a direct connection with a cable.

Joe
