Hi,
I did all of the above, checked 3 times for accuracy, but the PC still freezes (worse now).

Hi,
The problem seems to be when AVAST and MBAM (PRO) are active at the same time, even with the "exclusions". Do you recommend any other virus scanner I can try instead of AVAST? If that doesn't work, I'm willing to turn off the active feature in MBAM. The PC seems fine when I do that.

Hi GarySam43,

The problem is caused by an incompatibility between Avast and MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware Pro.

What I can suggest to you is disable the MBAM real-time protection.

However, you paid for the PRO version but you cannot use due to incompatibility.

Go to the MBAM support forum and tell that you are having an incompatibility between the Avast and the MBAM.
