Even whilst typing this message the cursor sticks and the letters stick delaying the spelling of the words. I need urgent help please.Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Download TFC by OldTimer to your desktop
  • Please double-click TFC.exe to run it. (Note: If you are running on Vista, right-click on the file and choose Run As Administrator).
  • It will close all programs when run, so make sure you have saved all your work before you begin.
  • Click the Start button to begin the process. Depending on how often you clean temp files, execution time should be anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or two. Let it run uninterrupted to completion.
  • Once it's finished it should reboot your machine. If it does not, please manually reboot the machine yourself to ensure a complete clean.

Background info courtesy of DonnaB Thank you

As for TFC, this is a tidbit of an article I found a while back by a MicroSoft MVP.

TFC (Temp File Cleaner) will clear out all temp folders for all user accounts (temp, IE temp, java, FF, Opera, Chrome, Safari), including Administrator, All Users, LocalService, NetworkService, and any other accounts in the user folder. It also cleans out the %systemroot%\temp folder and checks for .tmp files in the %systemdrive% root folder, %systemroot%, and the system32 folder (both 32bit and 64bit on 64bit OSs). It shows the amount removed for each location found (in bytes) and the total removed (in MB).

Before running, it will stop Explorer and all other running applications. When finished, if a reboot is required the user must reboot to finish clearing any in-use temp files.
-- TFC only cleans temp folders.
-- TFC will not clean URL history, prefetch, or cookies. Depending on how often someone cleans their temp folders, their system hardware, and how many accounts are present, it can take anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or more. TFC will completely clear all temp files where other temp file cleaners may fail.

I've downloaded the TFC by OLD TIMER and I haven't noticed any difference in the speed, I am also getting an error message with regards to the Malwarebytes the message says "open event failed to perform desired action Error Code 2", and that error message .Net Runtime Optimization Service stopped working and was closed. is still reappearing. It seems like things have gotten worse.

OK is the problem just while online now or is it with the whole system?

Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from the Add/Remove Programs (XP) or Programs and Features (Vista/Win 7) area of the Control Panel;
Restart your computer;
Run the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Cleanup Utility
Restart your computer;
Reinstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. If you don't have the setup file you can get it HERE

As I advised you on the first page. You should have posted in the "Virus, Spyware, Malware Removal" forum. I suspect it's viruses which keep damaging your installed programs and there's no point trying to fix these things until you are certain you're clear of viruses or these problems will come back.

Did you run the Anti-Malware Cleanup Utility as suggested by rshaffer6? If you're certain you're virus free. You can reinstall .NET Framework 4 again to remove the error message.

To stop the "A plugin shockwave flash isnt responding" message. Click on these links http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/ . http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/. Once downloaded run and install one at a time.

I've now posted my query in the Virus, Spyware, Malware Removal forum. Yes I did run the Anti-Malware cleanup utility and there was no report of a virus. I'll continue with the other options you've adviced me to do and I will let you know how I get on.

Once again thank you for your time, patience and advice I really appreciate it.

Hello,
It's me againPosted Image its been while since I 've contacted you because I had given my laptop out to have the system wiped clean and a new programme restored because I was unable to reboot the laptop from the recovery disc.

Anyhow I've got it back downloaded AVG antivirus programme and have noticed that start up is slow and I keep getting an error message saying "Could not load AVG Site Safety plugin" whenever I got on FB to play games, and I've also noticed that I'm unable to locate my CD ROM

Any advise on what to do about this?

Thanks in advance.

First off personally I would uninstall AVG as it is a system resource hog and can slow your system down. There are several free programs out there like Avast and Microsoft Security Essentials AKA MSE. They are just as good if not better then AVG and a lot less stressful on the system resources.
Getting rid of AVG will get rid of your error message you are receiving.

AVG Remover
eliminates all the parts of your AVG installation from your computer, including registry items, installation files, user files, etc. AVG Remover is the last option to be used in case the AVG uninstall / repair installation process has failed repeatedly.

As far as your cdrom is it not showing in My computer?

Have you tried connecting a external monitor to see if it is the laptop screen or the laptop itself?

No I do not have an external monitor. Should I give up on this laptop and get rid. I recently had it wiped clean and reset set by a technician, now this.

Can you borrow one or take the laptop to a friend who has a desktop system so you can try their monitor for a couple of minute to just test the video?
