Hello!

Im looking to upgrade my computer so I can run the upcoming game Guild Wars 2 on Medium - High settings.. I am computer and hardware illiterate so I thought coming to you guys would be my best bet!

Couple of questions for you if I may;
What particular ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series card do you have as some the 5770 for instance is far superior than the 5700.
What type of case do you have, mini tower, mid tower or full tower etc.
What are the present PSU details, brand and model name or number.
What is your maximum budget for the upgrade.

Please note that I am not suggesting that you overclock your computer only unlock the fourth core.

Looking at your list of hardware and the system requirements I see no need for you to upgrade anything in order to play the game.

If you would like to upgrade in any event I would suggest increasing the Ram to 8GB (see bottom of the page) which will ensure you get the best from your 64-bit OS and improve the computers overall performance

The video card would benefit from being 256-bit and an example of a reasonably priced better performing card than you have now http://us.ncix.com/p...e=MSI/MicroStar but if the budget will allow it a better upgrade and the second least expensive HD6870 http://www.newegg.co...ID=3938566&SID=

The present PSU should also be replaced, it is not particularly bad but it only has a 70% output efficiency rating, this is uneconomical + it also affects the other hardware performance, an example PSU http://us.ncix.com/p...facture=Corsair

Is the Ram what was recommended by the Crucial scanner.
If yes then that is ok as you will then be able to sell the present Ram on ebay or craiglist.
What if any other recommendations did the Crucial tool suggest.
