Hey, I recently downloaded windows 8. Everything runs fine however the screen resolution is stuck at 1048x768...really low. So I contacted microsoft and they tried to fix the problem. They learned that my driver needs to be upgraded. So I contacted HP and they said that my graphics card does not support windows 8. I have an HP pavilion 9500. I would really like to keep windows 8... is there anyway that I can get around this?

Try the Vista driver: Software & Driver Downloads - HP Pavilion dv9500 CTO Notebook PC

32 and 64 bit available.

Also, do a Windows Update as it may find a driver that works.

The windows update doesn't do anything. The graphics driver install from HP notes that I am running different software then vista and so terminates the install... I'm currently looking for the same driver else where
