I have two PCs, one Windows Vista Home Basic 32 Bit and the other Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit. Both of theses PCs had Google as the Search Engines and Chrome as the Browser and both are running IE9 Both PCs have been taken over by Bing as the search engine. By browsing the Web and Face Book etc, I have come to the conclusion that Microsoft, in a sneaky manner, Downloaded and Installed Bing using Windows Updates (8 of them) that became available on around the 14&15 of this month, Nov 2012. These all being tabbed as Security Updates. My problem, and many many other peoples problem, is that Bing cannot be deleted by any normal method, Microsoft has put blocks on certain options that defeat the uninstall process, for example, "Make Google my default Search Engine" Click "Enable", The "Enable" button fogs over and will not work, Select/deselect options are also inoperative when they pertain to the Delete process. The Chrome pages on both PCs have become degraded. I had Amber colored skins on them, due to a vision problem, they are both plain white now and cannot be returned to the state that I had them set at. They both have a large, untitled Search Box that when used comes out as a "Bing Search". I have tried many different methods to remove this unwanted "Bing" but all are blocked as described above. As mentioned there are many people affected by this problem, Firefox has been hit in the same manner. I am just hoping that someone has an answer to this. Thank You for your time, Jacks Tar.

Hi, I am having a problem posting the results of the scan by Autorun The only way that seems to work is by creating a file and then putting the scan results into it and then posting the file but this dose not seem to be working, going by your last post. Would it be possible to get some instruction on this, in simple terms please. On another (Related) subject. I decided to download Firefox, on my other PC, After the install was complete I tried a couple of test searches and it was working fine. After closing it down and then sometime later opening it again I found that I had "My Start" powered by Yahoo on the Firefox page. It (My Start) was overlaid on top of Firefox, I could still see the Firefox tab at the top of the page, So now it seems that I have not only been Bing'd but also Yahoo'd. I note that "My Start" has also installed it's self on this PC. These two PCs are not on a network. On attempting to sign in to Geeks To Go this morning I found that thr program would not accept my Password, User name or Email and the "Forgot your password" option was inoperative? I am writing this from a Bookmark I made of the original Post so I am not sure that you will receive it. Can you suggest an alternative to Iolo System Mechanic. Thanks for your time, Jacks Tar.

Right click on the downloaded (autoruns)file and choose Extract All Files.
Once extracted, open the program named Autoruns.
Next go to File -> Save and choose the file type to Text File (.txt).
Please attach the text file to your next reply.

Or upload the file to the link below and send me the link created.
