OK! I did it. I haven't added any virus program. I thought I should wait & see if I see the blue screen again <sigh>. I hope this is the answer. I wish I knew for sure this was it <G>. Does window 7 have any programs that protects against all this stuff already on the computer?

ok - windows has what is called windows defender that will provide some protection, lets give it a day or so and see what happens

Thanks Gringo,

I did download essentials but haven't installed it yet. I read it's pretty reliable. I just hope uninstalling Norton does the trick. If it does, I think I read you like essentials alot so I might just stick with it.
