It may be that for some reason Open Office is trying to open that and is finding that it will not work hence the filter error

If you do not need that at start then it can be removed

Solved. Something that you said earlier about Chrome had me wondering and so I went to Settings again and fixed it from there. All done. It's been quite a learning curve for me going through all these processes and I have learnt a great deal; for that I thank you and wish you well in deepest Cornwall :thumbsup:

I revised the options in Start up and Appearance in Chrome Settings and got rid of all the Yahoo URLs that were there. There remains one yahoo URL that can't be got rid of for some reason but that's fine, everything is working like clockwork :-)
