hello again everyone, it's been awhile. i wasn't sure what to post this under, hope it's alright here. i was using MSE on my Desktop computer, and every time i booted it, it would say it was cleaning malware, then later say it was cleaned. the other day i bought Kaspersky Internet Security, installed it, but when i try to activate it with my serial key, or update the virus base, it says it cannot connect to the server, check my internet connection and try again, but my connection is fine, i can go to any other websites. MBAM shows clean after a full scan, i posted here because i'm not sure this is a virus problem. does anyone have any ideas what would cause this? Thanks.

*sorry, should have added running Win7 32 bit, 4GB RAM, 750GB HD, UAC disabled, uninstalled MSE first with Revo then ran CCleaner before installing Kaspersky.

*solved. just had to reset Advanced Settings in Internet Explorer (even though i use Firefox).
