I am no longer able to use all of the functions of my HP All In One 6380 Printer, I am at a loss. It will print, it will not install all of the components. (I have the disk).

My operating System is Windows 7 home premium service pack 1 64 bit, Compaq CQ3500Y AMD Sempron 1300 2.3 GHz

The installation process proceeds to step 9 and then I get a error message that it was unsuccessful. It is a wireless printer, network connections are all fine, yet part of the message speaks about it not being able to connect, yet as I said, I can still print wirelessly, I am unable to use the scanner function and I really need to. I have posted about this before, but I was in the wrong forum, it's been a while, I have just shelved this issue because I was getting too frustrated, you may be able to search my posts, to see what has been tried up to now.

I would like to start from the very beginning, and re-troubleshoot, if possible.

Click on Start then HP. Expand the entry for the HP All In One 6380 Printer. Somewhere under it you should see a Uninstall entry, select that and let it run to com0letion. It will tell you disconnect the printer. When it does, remove the USB cable.

Download and install the latest software from the HP web site.

It's all wireless, no USB. Doesn't matter, I gave up and bought a new one, everything works like it should. Wanna a buy a printer? I have the disk... :surrender:
