it appears that my browser connection to the internet is slow (slow compared to the pc it is replacing)....i will direct connect (not wireless) and check out...i might have to reinstall software to see what is happening...something must be clogging up the works

Hi.
Thanks for the updates.

removed the virtu software.

Appears to still be bugs in the software and be hard to configure correctly. best advice would be to try solutions from the official site. > http://www.lucidlogix.com/support.html

Was the slow wireless result when using a Dongle?

Gday DonB0130.
Your welcome, been a pleasure helping. Would be interested in how you have configured the HDDs.? Anything like this?

gdday iammykyl

thanks for the link....

first, spent a bunch of time cleaning up data...deleting stuff

initial configuration of hard drives
1tb hdd 6: 350 gbs for systems and programs and rest unallocated
1tb hdd 6: allocated about 1 /2 for "business" storage-- and allocated about 1/2 for scratch disk
500g hdd 3: all for personal stuff
500g hdd 3: old data to be saved....accessed in the pc case caddy

only issue so far.......after some time on system browsers have trouble accessing internet..don't know whether it is avast anti virus or something else....restarting computer solves issue....i still have the old pc going and it doesn't have any trouble accessing internet...but i don't have any anti virus on it!!...btw i downloaded linux on the older machine and have both windows 7 and linux running on it...

Hi.
Was going to suggest trying a different adaptor, beat me to it. Check network setting on the old machine and compare to setting on the new one.
Networking is not my forte, so if still having problems, possible to post to the specialists on > http://www.geekstogo.../11-networking/

Not forgotten, musing over you HDD configuration, will get back to you.
