Virus in my desktop computer! Please help.

Recently encountered a virus in my desktop computer. Had Bearshare installed but went into the registry and tried to find the files and delete them. Was unsuccessful and am not able to uninstall it. So I installed Hijackthis and still did not find the corresponding files. Please help!
